Coal imports through China's Manzhouli land port bordering Russia and Mongolia amounted to 36 Kt in Q1 2024, jumping 2.7 times QoQ, customs data showed. The trade value soared by 2.4 times QoQ to 11.80 mln yuan ($1.63 bln). The surge was driven by robust domestic demand for high-quality coal imports and the port's efficient customs clearance services.
